![]() Curious at the effective nature of a concealer which offered all these promises and claims. ![]() But for now, I’ll focus on the concealer. I know a lot of folks will want me to comment on the other products in their growing line. Ok, so to get back to the Glossier Stretch Concealer. Glossier’s business model seems to gravitate to this growing trend of inclusive beauty rather than the traditional exclusiveness that has often plagued the industry.Īnd while their marketing tactics seem to focus on this inclusive beauty trend, how do their products hold up with respect to claims and ingredients?īecause in the end, it’s about how the product performs and what it includes – am I right? So if you are into makeup even in the slightest – chances are you’ve come across their product line.Īlthough it’s targeted marketing and aesthetic seem to focus primarily on the millennial crowd, this product does have a reach beyond the young set. In the last few years, the Glossier business model and product range have been the most copied beauty company bar none. Take all of the above with the caveat that I've only been wearing the foundation for about 3-4 hours, so I can't speak to how long-wearing it is.The Glossier brand needs no introduction. unfortunately M1 looks like it would be too dark and 元 would probably be too light (maybe would work in winter?), so I think this is the best match for me right now. Shade: L5 is a bit on the yellow side for me as I'm more of a warm olive.I used Lisa Eldridge's facial mist, and it seems to have worked well with the foundation and concealer. Setting: I tend not to powder as my skin is on the drier side, so I set with a facial mist (not a setting spray) to help everything meld and keep my skin hydrated. ![]() I have redness in my cheeks, and one layer of foundation helped to even out pigment, but I did go in with the concealer on the reddest bits just to get the full coverage and to see how the concealer and foundation work together (seems good). It seems pretty easy to work with, so you could do a thin layer or sheer it out for a lighter coverage and layer if you're looking for a fuller coverage. That being said, I don't think this foundation is particularly blurring (honestly, most of the foundations I've used which are best at blurring tend to be more on the matte side), and although it isn't settling into pores and lines, it seems to be making bumps (like small pimples) stand out more? Or at the very least, does nothing to de-emphasize them. The foundation doesn't seem to be settling into my pores or fine lines, though the primer I used may be helping there. (again, I am wearing a luminous primer underneath, so that may be contributing to the dew.) Not sticky, but for those looking for a more velvety or matte finish, powder will be a must. Finish: pretty natural, slightly on the dewy side but definitely not "glass skin" or super wet or glow-y-looking.But I definitely don't consider this a star product or must-have. Could be user error I may just need more time figuring out how to best use this brush. the finish using the brush was a little bit streaky and patchy, so I went back in with a sponge to smooth it out. Application: Unfortunately, the stretch face brush was not my favorite.Texture: kind of a gel cream (actually reminds me a little of Chantecaille's Future Skin foundation, which was my go-to for a while a few years back).Base: Skincare (including a moisturizer, hydrating sunscreen) and elf's luminous putty primer. Here are the initial impressions of the foundation: Wearing the foundation and concealer for the first time today.
